The Shasta Historical Society would like to extend a warm welcome to all guests.  Located in the heart of historic Redding, SHS strives to spread the knowledge of Shasta County history for the education and enjoyment of the community.  Founded January 18, 1930 by a group of prominent citizens as a collector of pioneer family stories, SHS has established itself as one of Shasta County’s most dynamic cultural institutions.
